African Wedding Rings available in gold, silver and titanium.
When you get married and you want an African wedding, you may want to have wedding rings that have an African style or theme. African wedding bands do not have to be with the typical cliche African themes like animal and masks – but can have subtle design elements that remind you of your African wedding.
Titanium Wedding rings
Titanium is a fantastic metal for a men’s wedding ring – it is strong and durable – and like a marriage, it will last forever! Titaninium wedding rings are grey in colour and can be combined with gold, silver, platinum or palladium.
Yellow Gold wedding rings
Traditionally wedding rings are made of gold. A precious metal that although not a hard as titanium, is a metal which will last a lifetime – if it is well made and thick enough – don’t try and save on weight. Ask you gold ring manufacturer to make the shank at least 1.4mm thick – then you will have a ring forever!
Silver Wedding rings
Although not commen – it is a great option if you are on a budget. The silver price is the highest it has been in 30 years – but it is still an inexpensive option. The upside of a silver
wedding ring is that you can choose any design and thickness and not be concerned about weight – the relatively low price of silver compared to gold and platinum makes this a great choice for an active man.
Platinum wedding rings
Expect to pay – big. Platinum wedding rings are not cheap. The metal is not alloyed like gold – so you are buying pure platinum – it is strong and will last a lifetime – just don’t lose it or you’ll be in trouble!
Palladium wedding rings
What a fantastic metal – belonging to the platinum group of metals – palladium wedding rings are hard and white – unlike white gold which is a naturally grey color (if not plated in rhodium). It is very well priced – expect to pay about the same as 14ct gold.
White gold wedding rings
A lovely metal – grey in color. Sometimes jewellers rhodium plate white gold wedding rings to make them white – this is not a great idea unless you want to be sending it foe re-plating every year – the rhodium comes off and leaves it looking grey and sometimes patchy. If you go for white gold then leave it in it;s natural color. It is the softest of all the golds and precious metals – so be prepared to care for it – not for active men that like to wear a ring and not worry about it.
Two Tone wedding bands
Great wedding bands – add a dash of colour and style. Wedding bands made in combination colors are not commen – but mixing red gold and titanium, or white gold and yellow gold is a beautiful thing. Make sure the metals are solid gold – not like the budget 2 tone rings which have the colour gold plated or rhodium plated onto yellow gold. You want a men’s wedding band that lasts a life time.
